My approach to therapy is attachment-centered, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, and strength-based practices to help you better understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build relationships that feel safer and more secure. Together, we’ll explore how your early attachment experiences, trauma history, and unique brain wiring shape your current challenges — not from a place of pathology, but from compassion and curiosity. I believe healing happens when you feel understood, supported, and empowered to work with your nervous system rather than against it.
Neuro-affirming care
Neuro-affirming therapy means I view ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence as natural variations in human wiring — not disorders to be fixed. Instead of focusing on changing who you are, we focus on understanding how your brain works, reducing shame, and building supports that align with your nervous system. This includes honoring sensory needs, executive functioning differences, and burnout cycles, while helping you create environments, relationships, and strategies that allow you to thrive as you are — not by masking, but by living more authentically and sustainably.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Often times our current experiences, beliefs, and emotional responses can be tied back to how secure our attachment was with the people who cared for us as children. Using this lens helps us understand more about how you see the world, how you view safety, and how we can hold acceptance while working towards the best version of ourselves.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
I have extensive experience as a DBT therapist, practicing since 2016. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is grounded in mindfulness and balances acceptance with change. This treatment method focuses on managing distress, regulating emotions, and interpersonal relationships by using skill building techniques. I often reference these skills in session to support people in building the tools they need to be more effective in different areas of life.
Trauma Informed Care
I have spent my career working alongside victims and survivors of trauma and abuse. Using the key principles of Trauma Informed Care, we can co-create a safe and trusting space, while empowering you to hold an active role in your healing journey.
Strength-Based Approach
I find my therapeutic style is using a warm, curious, and gentle approach to create trust and respect. It also involves goal setting and emphasizing your role as the expert in your own experiences.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed
IFS-informed therapy means we understand that you are made up of different “parts” — aspects of you that developed to protect, cope, or carry pain. Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety, anger, avoidance, or self-criticism, we approach these experiences with curiosity and compassion. Many of these parts formed in response to attachment wounds or trauma and are trying to keep you safe in the only way they know how. Together, we gently explore these inner dynamics, reduce shame, and help you access a steadier, more grounded sense of Self so your system can feel less reactive and more integrated.
